Noosa Beach accessibility

A holiday would not be complete without enjoying the famous and beautiful Noosa Beach. North facing and sheltered from the weather, the surf beach offers breathtaking views out across Laguna Bay. There are plenty of shade areas and picnic spots for relaxing and having fun.

Boardwalk

There is a purpose built boardwalk and pathways that run the full length of the beach, from the Surf Club to Noosa Woods. The walkways include tactile markers for people with vision impairment and provide level access from Hastings Street boutiques and cafes to the wheelchair accessible parking areas and toilets at either end of the beach. If you are feeling energetic the pathway continues through Noosa Woods (at the northern end) emerging at Noosa Spit (approximately 500 metres).

Beach wheelchair

A FreeWheeler beach wheelchair is available for people wanting to access the sand and surf. The beach wheelchair has been sponsored by Tingirana Resort on behalf of the Noosa Community. It can be booked for a gold coin donation by phoning Tingirana on 07 5474 7400

Shade areas

At either end of the beach there are grassy areas with picnic tables and trees for protection against the sun. These areas allow a breathtaking view over Laguna Bay while relaxing in the cool surrounds of Noosa Woods or beneath the fronds of a tropical pandanus tree.
