- People to People Committee on Disabilities
- PPCD was created in 1956 under the leadership of President Dwight Eisenhower, who encouraged the establishment of people-to-people organizations reaching out internationally in the spirit of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. He declared that "creating understanding between peoples is a necessary way to build the road to enduring peace", which he described as, "the most worthwhile purpose in the world."
