Special braille services

One-off productions

In addition to the transcription of a wide range of educational material for universities and the Queensland Department of Education and Training, QBWA also regularly caters for special requests with one-off productions of items such as certificates, business and greeting cards, books and brochures for government departments, election papers, newsletters and acts of parliament.

Tactual Maps

Under the auspices of the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) QBWA produces a range of Tactual Maps. We now have a library of reproducible maps of various town CBDs in Queensland, some schools, universities and shopping centres, floor plans of particular buildings or conference venues, the Cultural Centre South Bank, the Queen Street Mall, Railway System and Buzway networks and, on the larger scale, parts of South-East Asia. Also available is a braille Directory of the suburbs of Brisbane. (See also the DERM Client Tactual Maps page for further information.
