Jason Watson
"Know thyself and seize the day!"

In 1986 Jason Watson had a brain tumor removed. After the operation Jason had a Neurological condition known as Ataxia (a very rare neurological disorder resulting in the loss of balance and coordination), coupled with this was paralysis of all the muscles on the right-side of Jason's face (who needs Botox)!
Jason has a view on life which has been honed to a razor-edge on the mean streets of reality and then dipped in a vat of concentrated humor. So often the potential of people is wasted on silly little distractions and if Jason could tell people one thing it would be to forgive their past and live in the present.
Jason has gone to University, written a novel and is currently maintaining a blog (and guest writing for several others). He is actively involved with various disability organisations and has a keen interest in computing.
One thing that Jason has noticed over the years, when people first see or meet him, they form a list of questions they want to ask him that most never ask (apart from little children who come straight out and ask, well, until their parent stops them). So he's going to 'beat you to the punch' and answer common questions he'll eventually get asked:
- He is not drunk, he very rarely drinks, he slurs his words and staggers fairly consistently
- He walks around using a walkingstick (he walks short distances unaided)
- Yes everything works properly, wink wink
- No, he won't lend you money, he's way too poor
- He is not blind, but he's ok anyway
- Of course you can offer to help him with something, if he can help you he will too
Jason strongly believes that life is a gift, a gift that we all have the right to participate in fully. Not just watch from the 'bleaches' but actively get involved in!
Jason wants to bring that message to YOU!
