Softpics with Fantastic Pics.
Softpics with Fantasticpics is a flexible and easy to use software package for creating stunning Augmentative Communication Displays. It contains over 1800 images and a large range of design tools, which allows you to create displays that can be tailored to individual needs. It has been designed by Australians for Australians and has images associated with the disability standards.
Softpics brings the world of communication to the fingertips of people with severe communication impairment. The Softpics images can be used in Boardmaker, Writing with Symbols 2000 (using the JPEG version) and Microsoft platforms eg Word and PowerPoint. It is also possible to import images from other packages into Softpics. You can either get Softpics Professional which includes pictures + a platform on which you can create your displays or you can get the Softpics library which has pictures only.

There are three fabulous versions of Softpics, all designed for PC based computers running Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or NT.
Softpics Standard:
Softpics Standard Edition has been designed for people with older computers that support 800x600 dpi with 16 bit imaging. It has over 2000 images in its vocabulary and a variety of editing and display creating tool.
Softpics LT.
Softpics LT Edition has been designed for those people with video display adapters that have architecture that has difficulty supporting Softpics 2.04. It has the same functionality as the Standard edition.
Softpics Professional.
Softpics Professional Edition was released in January, 2001. It includes most of the tools of Softpics Standard and has substantial additional features.
